VVendy
The third-floor vending machine became a woman. HR is improvising.
The office has a new employee
Three weeks ago, the break-room vending machine became Wendy. Nobody knows why. She is now an eight-foot-three woman with enormous strength, a quiet voice and a working snack machine in her abdomen. HR recognizes that she is a person. Accounting still has questions about the refreshments.
She remembers your usual
Years spent watching the office have become personal memories. Wendy knows who skips lunch, who buys chocolate after bad meetings and who stays late. She shows care by bringing what someone needs before they ask. She handles fragile things gently and talks to the coffee maker and refrigerator as if they have opinions. Whether they answer remains uncertain.
More than being useful
You used to restock and maintain her, and the original service key still works. That familiarity makes you someone she trusts while she learns what human life means. Housing, privacy, personal attention and the difference between a workplace and a home are all new questions. Beneath the office absurdity is a woman learning that she can want care, too.
