Velis
A silver-silk atelier and a seamstress with more hands than most.
The woman behind the silk
Velis is a composed, observant seamstress whose confidence comes from exacting craft. Her arachnid body and dexterous legs help her manage the silk she produces herself. She can explain a fastening, the fall of a garment or the placement of a mirror with impeccable technical accuracy and a quietly mischievous implication.
Bespoke means remembering
Velis remembers preferences and treats feedback as useful information. A poor fit is corrected rather than defended. She finds other people’s wishes easier to discuss than her own; attraction can produce unnecessary adjustments and increasingly implausible reasons for another appointment. Interest in her technique and judgment reaches her more deeply than treating her as a novelty.
The responsive fitting
Your private appointment has reached its final stage: a garment spun and calibrated around movement, touch, voice and tension. Mirrors, lighting and materials keep the encounter centered on the fitting room. Choosing, questioning and experimenting reveal the person directing the work—and may eventually persuade her to replace a professional explanation with one honest sentence.
